Remember the building that collapsed on Lower Sixth Avenue back in April? In its stead rises new "art deco" development 88 Washington Place, a 28-unit building that had its first offering back in June. Despite a quasi-unappealing location on the busy Sixth Avenue thoroughfare and rather vertical room layouts, most of the offered units are now in contract, according to Corcoran. A few 3BR listings remain, including a 1,800sqft 3BR for $2.25 million. Already sold units include a 1,339sqft 2BR at $1.495 million (now in contract, despite its equally vertical floorplan). Estimated occupancy in late 2006. If you've been inside and had a look around, drop us a line and serve up the dish, won't you please?
