Top of the Rock Preview

The public reopening of the roof deck at Rockefeller Center is just over two weeks away, but travel-tips blogger NewYorkology snapped some views earlier this week amid the maelstrom: a bit fuzzy, but tantalizing and mysterious all the same. The Rock is touting timed-entry passes - and thus no lines like that other observation deck visible in the distance. Head on over between Nov. 1 and March 31 and pay the kinda-low price of $14 for the almost-highest view in town. But once you're up, you'll get to spread out, brags the marketing director, as the deck is 20 feet wide, instead of the Empire State Building's measly eight. Let the tower battle begin.
