Queensboro Bridge Fire Offers Rare Moment of UES Excitement

Today's random moment of terror comes via the above image, sent our way by an alert Curbed reader near the Queensboro Bridge on the Upper East Side. He notes, "the fire is happening now - less smoke already at this moment (a lot of fire trucks on the bridge). i guess that tent caught fire (they're removing paint/repainting)." Here's hoping the Upper East Side returns to its normally somnolent state shortly; we'd hate the residents at 740 Park to suffer needless upheaval in their well-organized days.

UPDATE: Turns out this is Long Island City excitement, not Upper East Side excitement. So much for the ha-has.
