1) As Alex Rodriguez completes renovations on his $6.9 million four-bedroom apartment in the Trump Park Avenue building, word comes that he's getting a new upstairs neighbor. Prince Abdul Aziz al-Thani, of Qatar, paid $6.2 million for a three-bedroom condo of 3,500 square feet just above A-Rod's pad. Can we please stick a fire pole between their apartments and move forward with a The Sultan and the Slugger reality show? [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]
2) The Jon Stewart saga appears to be over, as the fakenewsman has unloaded his West 13th Street apartment (right), listed at $3.995 million. Stewart paid $5.8 million for a bigger condo in Tribeca in March, and he's been trying to sell off his old place since. For a while the listing stated that the apartment couldn't be shown, fueling the real estate press's fire. Then it was reported that a deal had fallen through. Man, we love happy endings. 3) Braden Keil provides a nice update on some of the more posh properties in Manhattan. We already told you about the drama over at 15 Central Park West, former site of the Mayflower Hotel, but how about this money quote: "Other billionaires are giving up their places on the reserved list." Yeesh, if one billionaire jumped off a bridge, would the rest follow? And over at the Time Warner Center, the Related Group had a Thomas Keller-catered party to celebrate their condo sales in the buildings, where reportedly all but four apartments have sold. Nice effort, team! [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]
4) Former Saturday Night Live funnywoman Jane Curtin sold her 1,900-square-foot, three-bedroom co-op at 56 E. 11th Street for $1.7 million. Representing her was Betsy Magee, an independent broker/fitness trainer. No, really. Check it out. [William Neuman/Big Deal]
