The white-gloved folks at 15 Central Park West have issued a press release to say that units in the ultra-lux development are selling just fine, thankyouverymuch. In fact, the release calls the $650 million in contracts and $100 million in pending deals (or 75 of 201 condos sold), a "historic record." Where to look in your dog-eared Guiness Book for the old record holder? Here's a hint: "With a 40 percent sellout in less than 2 months and 12 of the 16 penthouses sold, no other single project has demonstrated such enthusiasm in such a short amount of time," says developer Arthur Zeckendorf.
