Back in March, the Developers Group had all sorts of poor suckers camping out on a DUMBO sidewalk for a shot at gobbling up one of the 56 condos in The Nexus, at 84 Front Street. For those individuals, it was a brutal experience. They were ridiculed. They had eggs thrown at them. They were forced to rent cars just to keep warm. They ... probably didn't need to go to all that trouble. Hey, guess what? Nexus condos are still kicking around, and apparently prices have been cut. Notes a tipster: "Got an interesting e-mail from a Developers Group agent about price drops at the Nexus. Quite an interesting turnaround from the days when people were sleeping in the streets for a chance to bid on these once-prime pads!"
The old prices have vanished from the Nexus website, so we can't really comment on how much or if they dropped. We do know, however, that apartment 5C (two-bedroom) was going for $820,000 back on March 18. Now? $755,000. That extra scratch sure can buy a lot of omelettes, no?
