On-the-Go Landmarks

Staten Island's Seaman Cottage, an 1830s Victorian gem, received landmarks designation from the Landmark Preservation Commission this week. Given the fact that the cottage was hoisted onto a flatbed trailer and moved earlier this year (above left), the graphicistos at The Real Estate got to thinking: why not afford the same relocation magic to other favored (non)landmarks, like Williamsburg's Austin, Nichols Warehouse at 184 Kent (above right)?
