A Curbed reader emails an interesting query:
A friend of mine just started renting an apartment on 65th between Park and Madison, one of the apartment's selling points was it's functional fireplace. Now that she has moved in, the real estate company is telling her that even though it is a functional fireplace, residents are not permitted to use the fireplaces. Are there any laws that govern disclosure of such information as it pertains to real estate? If you have any insight, please let me know.Have at it, kiddles, in the comments or to tips@curbed.com.
