Gwyneth Paltrow has put her West Village townhouse on the market, according to a report in today's Post. The asking price of $7.85 million is almost five times what the actress paid in 1998. Corcoran calls the pad, which as 4 bedroom, 3.5 baths, 2 washers and dryers, and 1 fully integrated sound system, a "perfect house." (No photos yet, alas.) Paltrow, who lives in London most of the year, has designs on an "even safer and more manageable part-time home in a doorman apartment building," the Post says. Still sounds like bad news for the playgroup: "Other working moms in Paltrow's West Village neighborhood include Liv Tyler and Sarah Jessica Parker, who live a half-block away."
