The latest development: power company TransGas Energy has bid $770 million for the land?and, uh, not to mention the right to fuel the MTA and build a power plant on North 12th Street in Greenpoint. Anyone want to give odds on Alan Corey stepping up and offering $1 billion for the yards by dawn tomorrow?
