Next Up in Queens: Luxury Without a View

Allow us to stay in LIC for one more moment to pass on the news that luxury development in that nabe is moving inland. The Daily News reports that Mark Junger of Rosma Development paid $16.5 million for a site at 45-56 Pearson St., where he plans to build a "Manhattan-style building" with prices ranging from $600 to $700 per square foot. It's the first sale of a major building site since the area was rezoned in 2001. The views may not be breathtaking but Junger plans to make up for it with lux touches like "a swimming pool with a retractable dome."
