Tomorrow, the dance floor John Travolta made famous in Saturday Night Fever is going to be sold at auction. In the meantime, Bay Ridge resident are waxing nostalgic for the days when their neighborhood was the center of the disco universe: "Our parents were rock and roll Beatles. We enjoyed that," Mary Bennett, a Saturday Night Fever extra, told Newsday. "But now we had disco. It was our own thing. And what a thing it was. It made you feel free." The dance floor, with its 300 pulsating lights, will not be free; opening bids begin at approximately $60,000.
