Jean-Georges Coming to Perry Street

Speaking of spring restaurant openings, a Curbed reader points us to what may qualify as the wackiest gastronomic event of the season:

After some speculation about whether he'd been trying to get out of the deal, uber-restauranteur Jean-Georges Vongrichten will open a restaurant in the south tower of the maligned Richard Meier buildings on Perry Street this spring. Interior designer Thomas Juul-Hansen, whose resume boasts the David Yurman showroom as well as Vongrichten's own loft apartment, is in charge of designing the 25-seat bar and 60-seat dining room. Menu details have yet to be finalized.
Queries our reader, "Do Calvin and Julianne get their own private tables? More importantly, have they fixed the leaking roof yet?"
