The bravado that inspired Brooklyn Heights' very own $20 million listing seems to be spreading. Over on Remsen St., a full block and a half from the Promenade, the owners of a 37.5ft-wide 4-story 1837 federal mansion are asking $12 million for their digs, which feature 14-ft ceilings, 9 fireplaces, a "sundrenched solarium," and a carriage house out back. The Times first made note of the listing in February, when the asking was a mere $10 million. Of course, those were simpler times, when $8.5 million seemed like a lot of money for Brooklyn.
