A truce is a promise, and as we all know, promises are meant to be broken. The Observer's Michael Calderone reports that the board at the Empire, the luxury Upper East Side condo building that attracted the likes of Jason Giambi when it opened for business in 2000, has filed a $10 million civil suit against the building's developers for failing to adhere to an agreed-upon settlement struck two years ago. The residents complain that long-standing problems with the building have never been addressed, problems such as:
2) improperly fitted windows
3) sweltering temperatures
4) frigid temperatures
Yikes. Empire developer Tony Soprano could not be reached for comment.
