Luxury Is as Luxury Does at NYT Conference

Curbed lurked around the New York Times real estate conference this morning, where a Curbed reader submits this report:

Went to a real estate panel sponsored by the NY Times this morning, which turned out to be the equivalent of a 10 page love letter to luxury apartments. Among the many pearls of wisdom offered up by the panel were Corcoran VP Sharon Baum lamenting the lack of private schools to accommodate the luxury dwellers and Prudential Douglas Elliman Senior VP Richard Ferrari saying one reason to move to Brooklyn is to shorten the drive to the Hamptons.
And what's that broker gossip we hear? Elliman's Shaun Osher quit the firm today? (Sure enough, he's gone from the website.) Pulling a Shvo, perhaps? (More to come from the conference later this afternoon. Stay tuned!)
