Jeffrey Chodorow, Red Sympathizer

From the far corners of the Internet come Curbed reader emails. A weekend gem begins, "How can I contact Jeffrey Chodorow the owner of RED SQUARE in the Tropicana, in Atlantic City, NJ?" Because he's got something to say to the legendary restaurateur: "Whatever you do inside your business is your choice. But why did you put take large statue of LENIN in the court at the Trop?"

An excellent question, Mr. Chodorow. Our capitalist-loving nation deserves an answer. (The full email?"PLEASE, TAKE DOWN THAT STATUE!!!! OR PUT IT INSIDE YOUR BAR"?after the jump.)

The email in full:

How can I contact Jeffrey Chodorow the owner of RED SQUARE in the Tropicana, in Atlantic City, NJ. Or perhaps you could forward this email to him........

I visited the Trop Quarter. Very nice. A unique depiction of a Cuban thoroughfare. I would have thought that you would have depicted Cuba's pre-Castro Communist era.

They tore down Lenin statue in Russia and put it up in Atlantic City. An exact replica of Lenin's statue is in the Quarter next to the entrance to the a tavern called RED SQUARE, with a picture of Lenin on the wall in the entrance way.

Whatever you do inside your business is your choice. But why did you put take large statue of LENIN in the court at the Trop?

IT'S AN INSULT TO OUR AMERICAN DEMOCRACY! and in not way represents the FREE MARKET SYSTEM that has allowed you to be a successful enprepenture.

PLEASE, TAKE DOWN THAT STATUE!!!! OR PUT IT INSIDE YOUR BAR. IF NOT FOR ME THEN DO IT OUT OF RESPECT FOR THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE AND ARE SUFFERING UNDER THE SURPRESSION OF COMMUNISM; AND THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN MURDERED BECAUSE OF IT.

Man, the 1950's must have been a lot of fun.
