Having watched the Luxury Residential Tower swallow much of downtown Brooklyn, Dumbo, and Williamsburg/Greenpoint, residents of southern Brooklyn (read Gravesend, Bensonhurst and Sheepshead Bay) are cowering in fear. Yesterday, they held a town hall meeting to steel themselves for an attack on their 'hoods. Boro prez Marty Markowitz, a preservationist at heart, was there. "[Residents] are pleading for relief from the destruction of their neighborhoods," he said. Sucks for them, he added.
