Boarded since last summer, and nearly demolished by the Volvo dealership next door, the Munson Diner is moving tonight to Liberty, NY, where a team of 15 investors raised $250K to rescue the Hells Kitchen landmark and bring joy and cheeseburger deluxes to the good people of the Hudson Valley. The grease-fire-in-waiting hits the road at 12:01 a.m. Godspeed, little diner.
UPDATE: Time Out NY lands a choice quote from one of the upstate investors: "The Catskills are becoming the new Hamptons," says Jeremy Gorelick. "So we wanted something that's funky and retro and classy, all at the same time."
