The Blue Moon Hotel, aka the "kosher hotel" and the LES's "other hotel" and (we're just riffing now) "the hotel that never opened" is for sale. Seems like just four months ago we were checking out those fancy new designs. Asking on the 22-suite, 8-story, Orchard St. property is $20 million. Lest you think this is the beginning of the end for LES lux hotels, the listing underscores the pay-to-stay potential of this forsaken plot: "This is prime opportunity for a hotel user they can also use it for selling time-shares, or turn it into a condo hotel. The property would also make a great bed and breakfast opportunity." Time-shares on Orchard! Man, it's going to be a great summer.
