We were going to have something to say about yesterday's protests to save 2 Columbus Circle, but then the link to the only story we could find about the subject done and broke and we began to wonder whether perhaps this was some sort of June Fools Day joke. Nobody really wants to save this thing, do they? Thankfully, our friends at The Gutter had already digested the news before it was stricken from the record. Their take? The protesters proved "that architects are not a serious people, or perhaps are too serious a people, and should not be trusted with decisions larger than the choice of slate or poured concrete in that kitchen reno you're planning."
