Building Collapse at 100th and Broadway

At 100th on Broadway on the Upper West Side, one of the buildings being torn down by Extell Development for its planned 31- and 36-story twin towers, collapsed this morning into rubble. Details sketchy, but an eyewitness tells NY1 that the two-story building housed a Gristedes grocery store until a few months back, and was being torn down to make way for the Extell development. (An eyewitness on NY1 says the company is also demolishing two brownstones on the block as well.)
