The Big Reveal: Cheeseburger Stick Plops Down on 82nd St.

Behold! Glorious confirmation! Enlighten us, Curbed reader:

For months my husband and I have speculated what was going in on the vacant corner of Third and 82nd. We knew that the landlord wanted $16k/month for the tiny storefront next door. So we figured that the much larger corner spot had probably rented for twice that. What kind of business could possibly support such a rent? Well, tonight the construction workers pulled back the plywood, and all of our questions were answered. I give you Manhattan's second 7-11.And a sugar-addled cheer erupted 13 blocks north, and another keg was tapped. And all was well on the Upper East Side.
