Krens Not Kanned? Klues from Korkoran

Last week we told you that Modern Art Notes discovered a Corcoran listing for maligned Guggenheim director Thomas Krens' Tribeca party pad. In art circles, old ladies quickly began fanning themselves at double-speed. Floors were covered with the jagged glass of dozens of shattered monocles. Could this be the final signal that Krens was getting the boot? Well, in this week's Observer, Michael Calderone reports that the Krens listing?all 4,500 square feet and $5.5 million of it?has been pulled from the Corcoran wesite. Do your own speculating, but perhaps if you gave Krens a call you could still talk him out of those Frank Gehry-designed chairs.
