CBGB Update: The Kids Don't Care

With the save-CBGB's movement now well into its third encore, the Times' Robin Shulman stops to ask whether anyone, outside of aging rockers and tourists, really cares. The answer comes from Melody Willoughby, "a pink-haired punk rock aficionado who works at Trash and Vaudeville, a clothing store on St. Marks Place." She told Shulman, "Blondie said, 'Die young, stay pretty.'" Okay, that'll do it. Unplug the amps, Little Stevie.
