While CNN golden boy Anderson Cooper is off chronicling hurricane wreckage along the Gulf Coast and such, his apartment back in New York is doing quite the little discount dance. As Gawker reported a while back, Cooper's West 38th St. loft was originally listed at $2.2 million. Suddenly, it dropped down to $1,895,000, leading to much derision. Well, let the critics snicker anew, because the price on the two-bedroom pre-war coop unit has dropped again, this time to $1,795,000. So what does it all mean? Well, perhaps Carrera marble counters don't carry the same pull that they used to.
