But photoblogger A Test of Will, who seems to be getting sick of the eternal road construction, muses: "What I don't understand is what they're chipping through. Is the street seriously supported by 15 feet of solid stacked brick and mortar?" A cursory perusal of the LowerManhattan.info site reveals that this pile o' rubble is most likely associated with the ever so hott-sounding "relocation of utilities ... to accommodate new entrance structures" for the M.T.A.'s Fulton Street Transit Center.
