Stadiums Report: Win Some, Litigate Some

1) Yankees and Mets: The Empire State Development Corp. says it will pony up $70.7 million for each team's new digs. The Yankees, who are still awaiting final approval for their project in the Bronx, will put the money towards parking garages. The Mets will use the funds for "infrastructure upgrades," which may or may not include middle relievers.

2) Nets: Community groups filed suit in State Supreme Court yesterday against the very same Empire State Development Corp., claiming wrongful approval of the demolition of six buildings in developer Bruce Ratner's way. The groups, which include Develop Don't Destroy Brooklyn, are also seeking to dismiss an attorney for the ESDC who once represented Forest City Ratner. The ESDC is expected to file countersuit seeking the dismissal of DDDB spokesman Dan Goldstein for "illegal defense."
