Catching Up with Shvo: Fultonhaus, 20 Pine, and Friends

It had been awhile since we'd clicked on through to the web presence of Curbed 2005 broker of the year Michael Shvo. Unsurprisingly, his website's glorious spinning words and themes enraptured us again for the first time. Though having one of the floating words hold still for long enough to click on it remains a singular challenge, patience is rewarded with a look at the suite of 20 or so new developments now in the Shvo stable.

Among them, let's take another look at Fultonhaus (inset, above), comprised of seven floors of steel and glass set on top of an existing eight-story building near South Street Seaport. Last June, the Real Deal reported that the development was over 60 percent sold after six weeks on the market. Over half a year later, though, there remain apartments to be had (and careful eyes will have noted Fultonhaus ads popping up in the real estate sections as of late). Unit 7B is up for grabs with a $1m asking price (956 square feet, with a small terrace on the floor above), while a larger 1,500 square foot space carries a $1.5 million tag.

Those in the market for upper-end new developments might also want to get on the email contact list for Shvo's 20 Pine, a new development outfitted by Armani Casa that's also getting its share of real estate advertising in the papers round town. The sales office is slated to open January 31.
