Looks like Trader Joe's is anticipating some drastic competitive measures taken by nearby Whole Foods. If you thought there could never be a war fought over BBQ tempeh ... think again!

UPDATE: Oh, it is ON. Not only is Whole Foods gunning for Trader Joe's, but so is FreshDirect, which is planning its first-ever TV commercials starring famous New Yorkers. Notes the NYT, "FreshDirect will not emulate Trader Joe's minimal advertising strategy, which is limited to quarterly flyers to residents of neighborhoods containing a store."
