Can't say we follow the "Queen of Mean" Leona Helmsley's machinations very closely, but we love a shaggy dog story as much as the next NYC-obsessed blogger, especially when it involves a widowed, billionaire real estate tycoon and a dog named Trouble.
Helmsley has apparently fended off a lawsuit by a housekeeper of hers in the Park Lane Hotel, who'd claimed that she deserved more money after the Maltese viciously attacked her. Turns out the woman was entitled to worker's comp and that's it. Seems like the housekeeper got the short end of the stick, but with a name like that, you can't say there wasn't at least the scent of a warning.
