The annual Dumbo arts shindig may be coming up, but today's Metro reports on all the "lawyers, accountants and IT professionals" moving in. The glass is either exactly half empty or half full, with about half of the 1.5 million square feet of commercial space in Dumbo rented by artists and the other now used as office space. New-ish tenants include a Lower Manhattan consulting group, an Rockefeller Center investment banking firm, a Brooklyn Heights asset management company and a Scandinavian bank's backup trade space. None of this takes into account the cost of Dumbo residential real estate, like the $8.6 million penthouse at One Main Street or the $3.42 million double penthouse sale at 70 Washington.
