Upper East Side Burning (Redux)

The week from hell for the tony enclave that is the East 70s continues. A fire broke out this morning at Coach president Reed Krakoff's townhouse, a nice little spot he picked up earlier this year for $17 million. Took 140 firefighters to put out—and people say the Lower East Side is the hellmouth?

UPDATE: A Curbed reader on the scene emails, "Parts of a building fell down between park and Madison on east 70th. Just came from a tour there… East 70th is blocked off… no Dr. Bartha but might be interesting, people enjoy destruction. Cops and local news are there."
