Rumblings & Bumblings: Essex Plywood Report

Time for everybody's favorite development game, where you ask the questions and give the answers. If you've got an answer to one of the questions below, another question, or a sweet, sweet digital photograph, email us at tips@curbed.com?or drop a note in the comments below.

1) Lower East Side: The tipster who sent the above photo writes, "155 Essex - Looks ready to become something else? Should make the new residents of 153 Essex quite happy."
2) Chelsea: A reader asks, "Have any clue as to what's happening at the SE corner of Seventh Ave and 18th St? The resturant La Madrea (sp) was recently torn down as well as the building south of it."
3) Park Slopish: From the banks of the Gowanus, a reader dials in with this question: "Do you know what's going on at the warehouse at 209 Second St. (between 4th and 5th Aves) in Park Slope. During the day today they put up caution tape and wooden beams around the building, making parts of the sidewalk impassable." This have smoething to do with the new ConEd building?
4) Williamsburg: Finally, it ends in the 'Burg: "do you have any info on what they're building in williamsburg on driggs ave between n. 8th and n 9th? it's the old wonder foods warehouse. i'm told it's going to be a 6-story residential space... but given that i live on the 6th floor of 500 driggs across the street, any details that will help me figure out if my unobstructed view and light and going to be blocked would be much appreciated."
