CurbedWire: Park Avenue Edition

1) Midtown East: Spotted today on Park Ave at 59th St: A fallen tree. Our photo tipster notes, "not the kind of thing you see every day...the traffic behind it was a bitch." [CurbedWire Inbox]

2) Upper East Side: Meanwhile, up the street, 740 Park was the scene for a high society memorial service yesterday. A tipster writes, "Among the mourners at yesterday's Christ Church memorial service for Chinese American entrepreneur Cheng Ching Wang (designer Vera Wang's father) were realtors Deborah Grubman of Corcoran and Alice Mason and Dominique Richard of Alice Mason. Surely, they weren't looking to broker Wang's sprawling apartment at 740 Park, where the reception after the memorial was held. But many of the mourners, among them Allure editor Linda Wells, Andre Leon Talley, and The Devil in Prada herself, Anna Wintour, were thrilled to get a peek at Wang's apartment, a 14-room duplex (10/11B) previously owned by the Campbell's Soup heiress Elinor Dorrance. The last time a similar apartment sold, it went for $20 million." [CurbedWire Inbox]
