Brooklyn Bridge Park Planners Say Ixnay to Trolleys

So much for the idea that trolleys might be coming back to Brooklyn as part of the Brooklyn Bridge Park plan. Seems that planners have given a thumbs down to the idea of using trolleys to increase public access, according to the Brooklyn Papers, although they're still thinking about tunnels from the subway and elevators from the Brooklyn Promenade.

The Brooklyn City Street Car Company has been pitching a plan for several lines, including one from downtown Brooklyn to Red Hook. Park planners, though, aren't having it, though they say they might go for those lame buses that look like trolleys.
