Lament for What Might Have Been, LIC Edition

It's not like the Long Island City Olympic Village design by trippy California architecture firm Morphosis was going to get built after NYC2012 went down in flames—or, hey, even if the city had score the Olympics—but given the news that the site will become a Mitchell-Lama rental complex, we're taking one last longing look at what might have been. Oh, for however the hell that thing on the lower right could have inspired us.
