Rumblings & Bumblings Responses: West Village JV

"Answers" to Tuesday's questions below. If you've got a better answer, another question, or a shiny photograph, email us at drop a note in the comments below. Many thanks.

1) West Village: Nothing concrete (rim shot -ed.) about the demolished NE corner of Charles and Washington, though one commenter says that a joint venture has been hatched to make something happen. Awesome, we love joint ventures.
2) Gramurray: A reader seconds our motion that the doings at 23rd and 3rd are the beginnings of a v. large (21 story) J.D. Carlisle condo. Anybody got a rendering of this beaut? As for the smaller parcel on 3rd avneue between 26th and 27th, no one gives a shit apparently.
3) "Carnegie Hill": Why on earth have two properties been gutted on 97th btw 3rd & lex (which is actually, ahem, Spanish Harlem)? "Are they going to become adorable, cheap apartments?" as our original querier suggested. Let's just say yes for now and deal with the reality when it hits us in the face.
