So we know that green is the new black in terms of buildings, but what about construction itself? Gotham Gazette lays a bunch of info on us this week about what a dirty business construction is (even of green buildings) and about moves to make the whole thing a little less polluting, if not toxic. The issues range from monstrous amounts of truck traffic to a whole lot of noise and dust. Did you know that for every square foot of building space created, 2.5 pounds of waste are produced that ends up in landfills? Check it out. Us, we just hope the scaffolding doesn't collapse and the cranes don't fall on us.
