Jazzing Up Some Clinton Hill Condos

The former undies factory at 970 Kent has had an interesting path to condo conversion. And by "interesting," we of course mean long and troubled. See Brownstoner for a lot of chatter regarding what the hell was taking The Developer's Group so long, a thread that's about a year old. Looks like there are still some unresolved issues, because here we are today still talking about units for sale in the building. Corcoran's in charge now, and they're marketing the 7 two-bedroom duplex penthouses under the tagline "Million dollar views for well under a million dollars." They also call them "townhouse penthouse apartments," and they think the prison yard shown at top is a "running track," so take it for what it's worth. Prices go from $760,000-$799,000, so at least that half of the equation is correct. There's an open house on Thusday, with a cocktail party open to the public featuring a live jazz trio. Is $650/sf, a children's playroom and a tax abatement enough to get you on the G-train?
