PriceChopper: Fear the Saya?

Was asking: $2.5 million
Now asking: $1.595 million
You save: $905,000!

A $2.5 million price tag on this East 22nd street one-bedroom co-op might have been a little ambitious, but it is a penthouse, and there's a huge private roof deck (with, apparently, a shower). And it has pedigree for miles. From the Brown Harris Stevens listing: "a one of a kind residence that has been featured in Forbes, Art & Auction, Art & Antiques and in an E! Entertainment Television Special." And have you seen the Madison Square and uptown views? Nice, nice. So why such a big drop? Says a tipster: "The problem is this apartment is about to get blocked by The Saya going up on E23rd and the seller wants to get out before construction next year." Ah, the Saya, you slanty, glass freak. We can't confirm this is true, because we're so turned around that we don't even know if our red arrows are in the right place. Hey, we never claimed to be cartographers.
