CurbedWire: Williamsburg, Warts and All

1) Williamsburg: Is there something moldy going on in 55 Berry? The tipster who sent the photos above says, "Your update on 55 Berry should read 'Mold Sale' rather than 'Fire Sale'. When I first looked at the pre-construction units I was appalled at the sloppy workmanship. For example: sheetrock was installed before the windows. The sheetrock and insulation was left exposed for an entire wet winter and spring which is the perfect environment to grow mold. When I showed the attached photos to my lawyer she said, 'Don't walk, RUN!' I did." [CurbedWire Inbox]

2) Williamsburg: A reader studies the Mill Building's website and offers this sales update: the place is 60%+ sold. A fact-check quick peruse confirms. Guess the cabanas were a big hit. [CurbedWire Inbox]

3) Williamsburg: Another 'Burg tipster (something in the water today) writes, "There's been some wonderfully noisy construction starting at 7am with jackhammers for the past month on North 1st and Berry. A crew has been gutting an old small warehouse wearing the now Williamsburg-chic outbreak safety suits. My landlord tells me that they are building a three screen high-definition movie theater and the entrance will be on Metropolitan the next street over. Anyone know if this will be an independent or is AMC moving into the neighborhood so I can see Mission Impossible 5 without leaving my block?" [CurbedWire Inbox]
