CurbedWire: Fingering, Celebrity Brokers and Hotels

1) Williamsburg: Time to check in on the Finger Building, the Scarano project going up on North 8th Street. A tipster emails, "It's been a few months since the crane left the finger building. Workers have been gone for at least a month due to a stop work order (too many floors?). When a crane got away from the builders, the owner resubmitted plans for a revised 10 stories. Now I may not be a math genius but that looks like more than 10. Has the city flipped the bird to the Finger Building?" [CurbedWire Inbox]

2) Brooklyn: It is our pleasure to introduce R. Kelly. Not that R. Kelly. This R. Kelly (pictured) is a Brooklyn real estate broker who believes “New York real estate is great because it is has the largest variety of available real estate." This is an R. Kelly we can support. [CurbedWire Inbox]

3) Midtown: The travel gurus at NewYorkology catch up on the current renovations at the former Righa Royal Hotel which officially reopened today as LondonNYC. Despite being open for business, they note, "The hotel isn't yet ready for anyone not outfitted with sturdy shoes. At the hotel this morning, the lobby was completely closed except for a cord-strewn curtained walkway that led to the elevators -- mind the ladders partially blocking the lift -- needed to reach the second-floor check in and conceirge desk." Plus, Gordon Ramsay's restaurant and bar aren't open for business yet. For $699/night, what do you expect? [NewYorkology]
