1) Chelsea: What could replace Q Lounge at 220 W. 19th? Diesel, natch.
2) Williamsburg: Will the old Commodore Theater at at Broadway and Rodney become a "yuppie hive"? An industrious reader reports from the DOB website: "zoned R6, allowable FAR of 2.43 and it's currently at 0.89. old DOB info from 2003 drops a familiar name: 'KARL FISCHER ARCHITECT' (see, e.g., here, here, here -ed.) there was recently something prefiled just this month, but no info visible. hrm." Sounds hivey to us. [Image right via Cinema Treasures.]
3) Gramurray: As for the fate of the vacated Hertz and the building next door at 144 E. 24th, a commenter notes, "Landlord at 144 E24th St (the parking deck is also on 24th) said that 146 is going to be a 5 story parking deck and then 7 floors of condos about the deck. He didn't mention his building." The parking lot will be "fancy."
