Remember the controversy in Long Island City over the tearing down of the iconic smokestacks on top of the old Pennsylvania Railroad Power House to make way for a luxury condo conversion? No? Well, it happened. And to rub it in the faces of all the LICers who are still upset over the whole ordeal, Elliman has started marketing the building as the PowerHouse, and they're leaving no lame pun unturned. Not content to rely on one tagline, they've got two: "Watt's Up in LIC" and "High-Voltage Luxury." Ugh. Not much else to report other than the rendering and in-progress construction shot. Wonder if we'll all be in for a real "shock" when we get "plugged in" to the "bill" for the "kilowatt-hours." Er, whatever.
