Painful 'Vertical Enlargement' in Soho

At the corner of Grand and Thompson streets in southwest Soho stands this building, one 20 Thompson Street by name. Reports a special Curbed correspondent, "Leave it to architect Frank Nigro to showcase the most up-to-date building technology. What the fuck is that yellow stuff? Duct Tape? Bungee Cords? Either way, they're using it everywhere. DOB shows that the old three-story building is undergoing the always painful 'Vertical Enlargement' to five stories."
