It's been awhile since we heard news from 122 Greenwich Avenue, the planned paean to undulation from developer Aby Rosen. CityRealty reports that the Board of Standards & Appeals yesterday approved a variance for the 36-unit building:
The variance permits the project to not conform to existing floor area, lot coverage, rear yard, height and setback, inner court, and elevator bulkhead requirements.Oh, awesome. We also get a bit of an update on the design, which Landmarks approved last spring after making a few requests of project architects Kohn Pedersen Fox. To wit: "Mr. Pedersen has changed its north façade to make it less busy. He has also gently wrapped the glass walls on its west façade at the corners to meet some concerns expression at the last meeting about how the design interfaced with neighboring properties." No new renderings yet; who's got our gentle undulation?
