Celebrity Real Estate Wrap: Mr. Met Hits the Flatiron

1) What's the best way to get people to look past the clunky name of your expensive condo development? Get one of the most popular athletes in New York to buy there. David Wright, Mets star and all-around good guy, has just scooped up a full-floor three-bedroom unit in the Infinity Flats on 21st Street near Broadway. The ultra-modern Flatiron pad will run him about $6.5 million, and includes a 43' x 20' living room with a floating staircase that leads up to a glass atrium, and a pantry "twice the size of some bedrooms in New York.” Here's the apartment's listing. 2) After a few price reductions, Naomi Campbell's Park Avenue apartment has gone to contract for somewhere under the $4.95 million asking price. This is the famed apartment with the floating master bedroom. It used to belong to Giuseppe Cipriani, which is interesting beause Naomi went ahead and bought more real estate from him, at the Cipriani Club at 55 Wall Street. She loves Italian. 3) While it's not surprising that Meat Loaf lived in this tiny 400-square-foot studio in Hell's Kitchen while he was a struggling performer trying to make it big in the theater and music businesses, it is surprising that he still lived there after selling millions of albums. All yours for $295,000. [NYMag/S. Jhoanna Robledo]
