Selling 666 Fifth, Tishman Speyer Breaks Another Record

After plopping down $5.4 billion for Stuy Town/Peter Cooper Village, real estate behemoth Tishman Speyer has sold commercial tower 666 Fifth Avenue to the Kushner clan for $1.8 billion. It's the highest price ever paid for an office building in this great country (and three times the price Tishman paid for it just six years ago—not bad).

The tower, between 53rd and 54th, is the home of a Brooks Brothers, bankers and law firms, and the uber-exclusive Grand Havana Room—each of which, one assumes, played a crucial role in this deal.
