So, will UsageGate derail the still permit-free Trump Soho hotel condo? Probably not, but the politicians are issuing some written smackdowns. The office of Borough Prez Scott Stringer sent us a note informing us they were the ones who caught the Trump Soho website red-handed?noticing the dropdown menu that asked potential buyers whether they were interested in a primary residence, secondary residence or investment property (with no mention of the required "transient" nature of residency there)?and then they CC'd local activists on their outraged letters to a DOB commissioner and a Bayrock/Sapir exec. You can see a portion of that latter letter above. Me-ow! Once the permits come, expect a provision that will restrict residents' stays there to under 150 days per year.
